Changing your Managing Agent

At Waymark we pride ourselves in providing sound advice and excellent customer service and, in doing so, we have out-performed our competitors in our local sales market.  Our ambition is to do the same in lettings and property management.

So, if you have any reservations with regards the service (or perhaps lack of it) from your current managing agent, then this is a sign all is not as well as it should be and we would be delighted to hear from you.

The true measure of a good management service is that your agent is always one step ahead, whether that be in issuing your rent statements, providing property inspection reports or flagging possible issues with the tenant (which do happen) before they become a problem. A proactive not reactive service.

A single point of contact allows a strong working relationship between owner and agent, developed sometimes over many years and allowing you a high level of comfort that your property asset is being looked after.

Keeping up-to-date with the ever changing letting legislation (and the last 18 months have seen a lot of that!) and sharing this knowledge with you is important. Our founding directors are RICS qualified and our Head of Lettings and Property Management, Vicky Broadbank is a member of ARLA. Both organisations provide ongoing support to their members and demand a high standard of professional competence.

Waymark is a close knit, hardworking team where we support each other in the advice we provide.  We are small and agile, responsive to client requests and have an ethos of building relationships with all our clients. In a world where property management is increasingly being provided by ever large corporate businesses, we are proud to be rowing against that tide.

So, if you are not 100% comfortable with your current managing agent then please do make contact, even if initially just wishing to have informal chat to leant about how we are different.  In practice (subject to any notice period you may need to give your existing agent) you don’t need to wait until the end of the current lease arrangement to change. It can happen any time and for both you and your tenant, the transition can be seamless.
